There's nothing better to be acknowledged and appreciated. Here is just a hint of some of the things said about Dwight Whitney and Trinity Communications. If you'd like to join this exalted company, say something to us!!
Richard Taylor, WETA Workshop
May I say, that in the 20 years I have been doing this I have never read a more beautiful and thoughtful piece of text about myself and our company. I will very much enjoy showing this to my Mum & Dad once it is published.
Please thank Dwight Whitney for this interview and the gracious way he has presented our story.
Susan Pattullo, Marketing Manager New Zealand, Ernst & Young Group
Dwight is a uniquely talented Writer, Communicator, Media Trainer and Brand expert - one of a small echelon of senior professionals at the top of the communications game. Like all great communicators, he is adaptive, instinctive, perceptive and acutely observant. He is a great humourist, and humanist. Over several years he has done multiple assignments for Ernst & Young, including writing our publication flagship, Exceptional. The mark of his talent is his ability to style any subject matter from accounting standards through to global economic change into art, cleverly and beautifully written.
As much as I would love to take credit for the writing I can't. We have a very special writer we contract for this job - Dwight Whitney, he has a magic touch when writing about you fabulous entrepreneurs.
OTHER COMMENTS FROM THOSE INTERVIEWED FOR EXCEPTIONAL
I have read over the article and am happy with how it has been written. I am also happy with the quotes used and think it is actually very “JUCY”.
Tim Alpe, JUCY, 2010 Entrepreneur of the Year
Looks wicked..fire away and thanks for having an expert like Dwight write this!
Keith Sumner, Gilpin Travel
Thank you for this. I am really happy with every word.
Dianne Foreman, 2009 Entrepreneur of the Year
Cool mate, it was a great article, I did not change one thing!
Andrew Hamilton, CEO, The Icehouse
Please tell Dwight that I love his article and that I hope he doesn’t mind my additions. I know that can be annoying, but I think it is key that the EY Awards are used to truly inspire other budding entrepreneurs to go global.
Katherine Corich, Sysdoc
Comments received from some involved in Idealog special issue on AUT 10th Anniversary.
Pretty damn good thanks and well written.
Paul Dryden, President PRINZ and Millennium Institute of Sport.
It has been a pleasure working with you Dwight on the AUT special article - congratulations on your 'global' profile and recognition.
Professor Ian Shirley Pro Vice Chancellor
It was a pleasure pointing you in the direction of some of our superstars. And yes, AUT is an exciting hub of exploration and creative thought, and I for one am extremely proud to be part of it. I look forward to reading your words. And congratulations for gaining your place amongst the world's best PR blogs. That is kudos indeed.
Belinda Nash, Communications Manager
Callum Harland, Endurance Running World Champs Silver Medallist and Owner, Discovery Lodge
Despite not knowing your PR blogging I still would have voted you Number One. What makes me happiest though is knowing you're on our side. And that you are doing us a good deal which I appreciate a lot. You're a good man Dwight.
Dr Ian Brooks, Author and Speaker
For 11 years, Dwight Whitney was responsible for the development and protection of the Sovereign brand and image. Indeed, the success of the Sovereign brand is largely due to Whitney's expertise.
Rev Ian Lawton, SBNR Org
I appreciated your note so much, but also felt a little sad to think it has come to an end. Most of all I enjoyed working with you and the others and being inspired by your vision. Like you I am an idealist, and there is a place for people like us. We just need to pace ourselves.
It would be nice to keep in touch. As you said, you never know what is around the corner.
Don’t ever lose your energy and vision for justice.
Dr David Epston, Writer, Counsellor, International Consultant
I want to acknowledge you first and foremost for your unwavering commitment to this project from beginning to end and your indefatigable enthusiasm for never accepting 'NO' when you were hoping for, and expecting, a 'YES'.
It was your example that fired the group and I really thank you for that. Also, it took a great deal of courage on your part to go to the media and I feel sure so many would have resonated with some (or unfortunately perhaps more) of what you endured as a young man.
Warwick Roger, Metro Founding Editor
To my mind, Dwight Whitney is the Hunter S Thompson of the Southern Hemisphere.
John Goode, Senior Advisor, Ministry of Education
Like all pebbles in the pond (and this was more than that) one should not underestimate the impact, even on apparent unfeeling agencies. The message did get through to many ears and the tune playing in heads now is different than it would have been had people in Line in the Sand not come together.
This is true for me and I continue to have opportunities to support the anti-bullying message in the areas of MoE work that I have moved to (and even in others that from time to time I have a chance to influence).
So thanks from me for the integrity, courage and journey that led you to instigate Line in the Sand.
Professor Dan J Wedemeyer, University of Hawaii
I consider Dwight's visionary notion of a Pacific Telecommunity to be one of the best thought out, and expressed, concepts capturing the essence of communication theory and possibilities and what could well evolve as a means (and process) to interconnect people, and cultures, in the region.
